The planned functionality will enable hosts to establish pricing for paid webinars, with attendee payments processed during registration through the platform's payment processing system. MYCT will collect and track attendee payments while maintaining records associated with commissions, refunds and host balances throughout the transaction lifecycle.

The Paid Webinar functionality is designed to support Public and Private Webinars and multiple webinar formats, including Single Webinars, Recurring Series and Multi-Session Choice webinars.

For Multi-Session Choice webinars, individual sessions can be managed independently, including session-specific pricing, registration, payment records and refund status. This structure is designed to provide hosts with greater flexibility when organizing and offering multiple webinar sessions.

The planned system also includes capacity controls for public webinars. Before payment is initiated, the platform is designed to verify seat availability to help prevent attendees from being charged after the maximum participant capacity has been reached. The functional requirements also include safeguards intended to prevent simultaneous registrations from exceeding available capacity.

Under the planned payment model, attendee payments will be collected by MYCT, while host earnings will not be released immediately upon registration. After the applicable webinar or session is completed, MYCT will calculate applicable commissions and refunds, and the eligible remaining balance will become available for the host to claim according to the platform's payout process.

The system is also designed to maintain detailed records associated with payments, currencies, commissions, refunds and payout status, helping provide transaction traceability throughout the webinar payment lifecycle.

Webinar Referral Program: Alongside paid webinar capabilities, MYCommunityToday is introducing a webinar referral experience designed to give existing webinar participants an opportunity to share webinars with friends and earn rewards when those referrals result in completed registrations or paid ticket purchases.

The referral program is optional and is enabled by the webinar host. A person must already be registered for a webinar and must have completed payment when the webinar is paid before generating a personal referral link. The referrer can then share that link with friends or through other channels.

For paid webinars, the referrer can earn a percentage of the referred attendee's ticket price, with the percentage determined by the host. For example, if a webinar ticket is $20 and the host establishes a 15% referral reward, a qualifying referral can earn the referrer $3.

For free webinars, the host can establish a fixed referral reward and allocate a reward budget for the webinar. When a friend completes registration through the referral link, the referrer can earn the amount established by the host, subject to the available reward budget.

The referral experience is designed to ensure that rewards are connected to completed actions rather than simply link clicks. For a paid webinar, the referred friend must successfully complete payment; starting checkout alone does not qualify. For a free webinar, the friend must complete registration. If the friend registers or pays through a normal webinar listing rather than the referral link, the referrer is not credited.

Referral attribution also follows the specific webinar session. For multi-session and recurring webinars, the referral credit is tied to the session associated with the referral link and the session the referred attendee actually joins. This means a referral for one session does not automatically generate credit for other sessions in a series.

Referral rewards are tracked within the MYCommunityToday webinar earnings experience. When a reward becomes claimable, the referrer can claim it using saved payout information. The referral materials emphasize that rewards are earned through qualifying registrations or payments and are not generated merely because someone clicks a shared link.

A referral reward may not be credited if the host has disabled referrals, the wrong link was shared, the friend did not complete registration or payment, the referrer had not yet registered for the webinar, or a qualifying paid ticket was subsequently refunded.

For paid webinar refunds, referral credit is not retained when the associated ticket is refunded. The referral program therefore connects rewards to completed qualifying transactions while accounting for applicable changes to the underlying registration.

With webinar referrals, hosts can encourage existing participants to share their webinar experiences with their communities, while qualifying referrers can earn rewards based on completed registrations or ticket purchases. The program is designed to provide another engagement mechanism within the broader MYCommunityToday webinar experience.
